Navigating Link-Building Strategies and Addressing Contractor Issues
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to discuss two distinct but equally pressing topics: link-building for reputation management and dealing with contractor issues during a project. I hope sharing my experience can shed some light and help those facing similar challenges.
1. Link-Building Strategy for Online Reputation Management
Recently, I started working with the TOSS Team on a manual link-building project to improve my online presence. The goal? To suppress some negative search results for terms like "Jim Gedeon Concord NH," "Jimmy Gedeon," or "James Gedeon."
Some of the challenges I face include:
- Personnel Appeals Board Documents: Public records referencing my name (e.g., New Hampshire Personnel Appeals Board, Docket #2022-T-025).
- Legal Cases: Case titles like "Jimmy Gedeon v NZ. BEAUTE BAR, LLC."
- Federal Court Records: Entries such as "Gedeon_v_United_HealthCare_Services_Inc."
While these documents are public, they have negatively influenced online perception. To combat this, I’ve asked the TOSS Team to promote positive pages like:
- My LinkedIn profile (professional background and achievements).
- Blog articles showcasing my skills, certifications, and leadership.
- Coverage of my community initiatives and industry involvement.
I’m focusing on techniques like domain authority (DA) 30-70 links, a mix of do-follow/contextual backlinks, and niche-relevant platforms to create a diverse yet natural online presence. Has anyone else used similar strategies, and how effective were they in addressing reputation issues?
2. Handling Issues with Contractors Near Me During a Project
If you’ve ever worked with contractors, you know projects rarely go as planned. In my case, I had some challenges with local contractors in Concord, NH, and I learned a few key steps to address issues effectively:
- Document Everything: Keep records of agreements, changes, and communications.
- Communicate Early: Address problems directly with the contractor before escalating.
- Seek Mediation: If discussions stall, consider hiring a mediator to resolve disputes.
- Understand Your Rights: Research local laws and contracts for potential recourse.
Have any of you faced contractor disputes? If so, what strategies worked for you in resolving the issues while maintaining professionalism?
Both these topics highlight the importance of taking proactive steps to manage your professional image and resolve real-world challenges. Feel free to share your experiences or insights—whether about reputation management strategies or dealing with contractors near you.
Looking forward to your thoughts!
Cheers,
Jim Gedeon
